This report aims, among other objectives, to develop the views on leadership and empowerment so as to learn about particular women who started from “the impossible” to reach the possible and changed their lives through civic and political participation and, thus, affect change in their local community and in the surrounding social environment. It reveals bright and dark sides of the situation of some Arab countries almost four years after the beginning of Arab revolutions. It also presents new forms and models of women transformative leadership.
