Jordan’s poorest desert villages on the Iraqi border, was given a chance to travel to India to attend the Barefoot College, where illiterate women from around the world are trained in 6 months to become solar engineers.
This documentary highlights Rafea’s learning journey, and her inspiring struggle to make a difference in her community. The documentary cleverly demonstrates how traditions and customs may often create additional obstacles to women’s participation in development efforts.
