To celebrate International Women’s Day 2017, Oxfam Great Britain’s Regional Gender Justice Programme is launching Manarat (Lighthouse), a digital comic campaign to tell the stories of Pioneer Women from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region who have contributed to their societies or excelled in their fields. This campaign aims at celebrating and paying tribute to a sample of MENA pioneer women who have contributed to the progress and advancement of their societies.
The featured women were selected amongst hundreds of nominees that were crowd-sourced online.
