Krim plastico’s company was born to address the issue of environmental damage in the municipality of El bayadh (wilaya of Oran). This situation encouraged Mrs. Rachida Krim to take the leadn and to create her own enterprise while the sector is completely monopolized by men.In a sector which has been traditionally controlled by men, Krim challenged exporting and adding value to plastic wastes through a partnership with a foreign company.
This practice was identified in the framework of a pilot action led by AFEV (Association des femmes en économie verte) which aimed at analyzing the situation of women’s entrepreneurship. The study has been realized through some quaestionnaires and interviews with women from two municipalities -Algiers center and Bouzareah- and will be available before the end of 2017in the Documentation Centre of the platform.
