Mixed workshops held in educational environments (the AMPC office is at the Faculty of Letters, Arts and Humanities in Manouba) as spaces of free expression and democracy in which students are encouraged to share their reflection on a topic of general culture or current affairs, notably violence against women. These workshops were organised based on a schedule established by an association network in northern and southern Mediterranean countries: France (two sessions, March 2013 and October 2015), Tunisia (three sessions, November 2011, October 2012 and March 2015), Algeria (March 2014), and Morocco (May 2015).This practice was identified in the framework of the research seminar on gender “Violence Against Women, Gender-Based Violence”, organised by RUSEMEG in Tunis on 8 and 9 October 2015, in the framework of Axis 1 “Strengthening the capacities of actors working for gender equality”, with the support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, and the project ''Developing Women Empowerment'' labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
