SafeNess offers you a solution for the prevention of sexual harassment and the fight against violence in public spaces.
Free, easy to use and fast, it allows you to:
1- Choose a list of trusted people from your contacts.
2- Send your location to your trusted people in the event of a threat.
3- Allow them to follow your movements until you arrive in a safe place.
4- In case of danger, share with them your exact position and the easiest route to reach you.
5- Triggering of a voice recording and saving the date, time and exact position of the alert.
6- All data will be kept and can be used as proof in the event of a complaint.
SafeNess is available in Tunisia and Morocco in over 36 regions.
Our mission is to improve safety in public spaces and to allow the user to act quickly in the event of danger. This service is provided by CAWTAR (Center of Arab Women for Training and Research) at no cost.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
