#FemFacts is a project dedicated to track and debunk damaging misrepresentations of women in European news media.
Media revolution has brought misleading content propaganda, manipulative information as well as false facts involving women. Such misinformation has a negative effect on women’s health and safety around Europe as well as on their rights. The aim of #FemFacts is to reveal, research, comment and debunk the sources of this trend.
The project, co-financed by the European Union, is supported by a consortium of news agencies and coordinated by Newsmavens.
Newsmavens’ dedicated #FemFacts team follows a strict methodology designed to grade the accuracy of fact-checked claims and identify the nature of the misconception being promoted.
