PRESAGE: A program to promote a multidisciplinary approach of gender studies

15.02.2019 / Created by (EMWF)

The Research and Educational Program on Gender Studies « Programme de Recherche et d’Enseignement des SAvoirs sur le GEnre » (PRESAGE) is a program created in 2010 by two economistes Hélène Périvier and Françoise Milewski. The program was then developed by the French Economic Observatory «Observatoire français des conjonctures économiques (OFCE) » and the French research university on social science, Sciences Po, to achieve three objectives: advance research on gender, develop gender studies at Sciences Po and disseminate knowledge.

PRESAGE program promotes a multidisciplinary approach of gender questions in research projects as well as in Sciences Po’s course offer. Researchers and teachers of Sciences Po’s five overarching disciplines work together constructing research and educational projects hand in hand: findings in law, economics, history, political science, and sociology to shed new light on gender questions.

In order to enrich the public debate on gender questions PRESAGE organizes around ten conferences per academic year, all of which are recorded and available on the program’s podcast page.
