This training platform is the main outcome of the European project UEFGM, co-financed by the European Union, in which the association “Exicision, parlons-en!” has been working for two years with the European associations specialized in the excision issue: an online free training platform aimed at professionals working with women and girls affected by female genital mutilation (FGM). This online platform, available in 9 different languages, enables professionals to obtain information and to learn about the FGM’s problems. This resource is aimed at professionals from different fields, such as health, education, asylum, police, media and press, professionals, child protection, civil society and social workers.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
