The aim of this project is to provide women’s rights activists, gender equality advocates, and election practitioners with an easily accessible resource on gender quotas.
The project includes a Database which provides information on the various types of quotas in existence today, detailing the percentages and targets in countries where they are applicable. This Database is intended as a working research tool. Only countries with electoral gender quotas will be found on this web site.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
