The Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization, founded in May 2001.
The association actively works in building capacities of a number of organizations, networks and coalitions that are the most active in implementing CRC, CEDAW, Beijing Platform of Action, and also in different civil society activities on national, regional and international levels.
It has three programs:
- The Democracy Development Program
- The Human Rights education program
- The Gender Equality Program

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
