Zeroviolenza was founded in 2009 as a project to denounce and prevent violence against women and all forms of violence using a civil information work as a daily tool that aims to build a culture of responsibility in the relationship between adults and children, girls and adolescents, as the key to the indispensable reading of dynamics and social conflicts.
The prevention of violence also consists in creating the conditions for a good growth, which allows people to be able to recognize the difference as wealth in the exchange with the other.
This information platform also organizes several trainings for journalists "Media and gender identity: information that does not discriminate", in collaboration with the Italian Association of Psychoanalysis, and with the Roman Press Association.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
