The voice of women is a Belgian association born in 1987 and comprised of women mostly from Moroccan, Turkish and Italian descent. The goal of the association is to:

• promote awareness, empowerment and critical knowledge of women’s social realities;
• promote the equal rights and opportunities of every individual and to combat all forms of discrimination and violence against women;
• work to strengthen the empowerment of all women in their diversity and their active participation in society;
• monitor and intervene in policies that have an impact on women’s lives and in particular immigration, integration and equal opportunities policies and ensure a continuous dialogue with the various social actors and stakeholders;
• to be a place of welcome, support, information and training as well as meetings, exchanges and reflections between women of different generations and cultures;
• contribute to a better understanding of the social realities experienced by its audience by promoting awareness, analysis and research.
