The Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities is the body responsible for gender policies through two bodies: the Equal Opportunities Department, with the Advocate of the Principle of Equality, and the Equal Opportunities and European Coordination Service, responsible for producing gender equality policies and monitoring their implementation. It works as a body of expertise, which prepares reports and recommendations.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
