The Directorate for Women’s Affairs, Equity and Gender is the body responsible for the coordination of equality and women’s rights promotion programmes. It is made up by the "Division de l’habilitation de la femme" and the "Observatoire national de la femme". Its missions include: the promotion of women’s rights, supporting and strengthening their legal status, working for the full participation of women in the management of public affairs and protection against all forms of violence and discrimination, as well as widely spreading the culture of equality, solidarity, participation, ownership and partnership in Morocco.
