The Institute of Women’s Affairs and for Equal Opportunities is an independent organisation attached to the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality which seeks to promote the conditions that allow social gender equality and the full participation of women in political, cultural, economic and social life as well as the active promotion of employment and self-employment among women. It implements policies aimed at promoting and developing the application of the principle of equality and non-discrimination.
