The Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth is the body in charge of achieving real gender equality in all fields of German society. To this end, the Federal Ministry has set out a series of measures aimed at improving opportunities for women in the economy, the public sector and executive positions, to eradicate violence against women and favour parity in all sectors of society.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
