Mobilising for Rights Associates (MRA) is an international non-profit organization based in Rabat and currently working in Morocco, Tunisia, and Libya. MRA (means "woman" in Arabic) works with associations and local activists to contribute to changes in laws, structures, relationships and culture in order to promote women's human rights.
Together, they create and implement long-term strategies to address root causes of the discrimination against women, and to develop constructive and effective solutions. They engage with its partners at various levels, working for micro-changes on the basis of the behavior and practices in order to strengthen their activism for initiative reforms at the macro scale. Their multifaceted strategies are designed to contribute to several levels of sustainable progress for women.
MRA works primarily on violence, civil rights and political life in Arab countries. Its target groups are the victims of violence and youth. The organization has over 10 years of work experience in gender equality.
