The non-profit Association Corrente Rosa was founded in 2006 in Rome, Italy, by women heads of companies, civil servants and representatives of liberal professions.
Corrente Rosa encourages women' s participation in politics and their presence in the administration, institutions and enterprises. The Association strengthens skills and talents in order to rebalance the presence of women and men in all social and professional levels.
The most recent activities of Corrente Rosa are linked to enhancing the value of women' s employment in the framework of the current crisis. In particular, it aims at raising awareness among public authorities, governments and enterprises of the economic advantages represented by women' s resources.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
