Morocco
The AFEM is a pioneer association that aims to gather women business leaders from Morocco. The Association was founded on 28 September 2000 and it always works with determination and selflessness in promoting female entrepreneurship in the country.
AFEM is the first women's professional association in Morocco to obtain the certificate of ISO 9001 in 2008 for its activities. The Association is represented throughout the Moroccan territory in its national office (Casablanca) and in its seven regional offices (Rabat, Fes, Marrakech, Tangier, Agadir, El Jadida and Meknes). The AFEM 's missions are:
- Promoting female entrepreneurship;
- Managing, guiding and supporting female entrepreneurs in their business development and in their competitiveness;
- Encouraging the creation of businesses by women in Morocco;
- Promoting the image of the female entrepreneur in Morocco and abroad;
- Representing women business leaders at decision-making levels as a unit group in relation to power networks.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
