The National Association for the Defense of Rights and Freedoms (NADRF) works on spreading the culture of human rights among citizens at all levels, and promoting women's rights as an integral complementary part of human rights.
NADRF also focuses on supporting marginalized women in rural and remote areas, raising their awareness, and providing them legal assistance. Furthermore, it aims at contributing to the reform of the Egyptian legislation in line with the new constitution, in order to give a voice to women. NADRF also monitors critical issues of women's rights, and it conducts legal studies and research.
Its main areas of work are civil and political rights; culture and professional training; and violence at local level. Their target groups are women artisans, women employees and victims of violence. NADRF has between 5-10 years of working experience in the field of gender equality.
