Palestinian Authority
The Women' s Studies Centre (WSC) is a secular, independent, feminist non-governmental organization that was established in 1989. It is active in protecting and advocating for human rights and women' s' rights; in enhancing the gender equality; and in supporting women' s rights as an integral part of human rights.
The Women' s Studies Center aspires to achieve full equality between women and men in a democratic secular and independent Palestinian state which respects freedom, dignity and human rights of all its citizens. The Centre works towards developing, fostering and disseminating a progressive feminist discourse based on social justice and equality values, with the aim of empowering women to access and benefit from all societal resources available. They also contribute to developing and mobilizing community and youth leadership that endeavor to create social movements capable to achieve our vision.
