Noura Raad is a PhD candidate at the Aix-Marseille University (France) and the Lebanese University (Lebanon). Her thesis addresses the status of women in comparative penal law, the existence of inequalities and discrimination against women and the perpetuation of stereotypes that go against the principle of gender equality, and the promotion and protection of women' s rights.
The subject of the doctorate goes beyond theoretical and academic borders. Indeed, Raad' s work encompasses research at a practical level, assistance on conferences and training sessions, and work with association fighting for women' s rights and equality in civil society.
