The Association works for the protection and respect of human rights, especially, on women who are among those who suffer more discrimination. AMDH aims at promoting gender equality through education with human rights values; forcing Morocco's ratification of all international conventions; integrating their requirements in the Moroccan legislation; ensuring that these conventions are fully respected; monitoring and condemning all violations of human rights as well as carrying out advocacy and solidarity acts with their victims.
The Central bureau of AMDH is part of a national committee for women's rights, formed of delegates of women's committees. The Association takes part of the Campaign "Equality without reservation" which aims to remove reservations in the Convention against All Forms of Discrimination against Women, to demand the enactment of a restraining law on violence against women and to call for changing the family code in order to achieve equality and fight all forms of discrimination against women.
