The "Association de Développement Local Méditerranéen" (ADELMA) is a non-profit national NGO founded on 23 July 2002. Its objectives include:
- support for local actors in the different Moroccan regions and the contribution to their full transformation into actors in the decision-making processes in terms of local sustainable and equitable development;
- integration of human rights-based approaches (notably the gender and equality approach) and the principles of democratic governance;
- fostering capacities of the different civil society components and actors;
- promotion and fostering of synergies between the interventions and actions of the different actors (public administrations, local and regional authorities, civil society, private sector).
