The association “Femmes pour le Dire, Femmes pour Agir” (FDFA) was founded in 2003, the European Year of People with Disabilities. The association aims to promote the role of women with disabilities in society, regardless of the nature of their disability, and promote their participation in forums, publications, discussion groups, workshops, etc. They fight against all forms of discrimination and, in particular, against the double discrimination experienced by women with disabilities: the gender aspect and the disability. They state that disability is not a type of identity.
FDFA aims to develop the autonomy of women with disabilities to access employment, the defense of their citizenship and the fight against violence, of which 80% of them are victims.
The association welcomes women and men with disabilities or disabled so that they can develop a living together at the national level.
Their motto is: "Women with disabilities, citizens first!"
FDFA has over 10 years of specific experience working on gender equality.
