Since the establishment date in 2009, Cairo Center for Development (CCD) managed to implement valuable activities within the program for combating violence against women that contributed a lot in mobilizing society actors such as lawyers and media professional.
The Center has accomplished successfully 11 projects under this program and cooperated with many reputable international organization including Open Society, Novib/ Oxfam, Women Mediterranean Fund and others. Some women organizations followed CCD' s approach in addressing the problem of violence against women.

The Centre has also established various mechanism in order to enable Egyptian women to report and fight sexual harassment.
