The Initiative is part of the national strategy to combat violence against women, it has a legal unit that works on the study of laws that do not ensure equality between women and men the iniciative wide network of relations with official institutions, civil society, politicians and jurists, the iniciative has a legal experience in dealing with women' s issues and it has a legal broad vision to address the many legal problems and discrimination against women.
the Initiative has participated in drafting the constitution in Egypt and submitted a written document with the legal proposals.
the Initiative is a partner in the regional project research on the situation of women and the parliament in seven countries (Egypt - Jordan, Lebanon-Palestine - Libya - Tunisia - Morocco.
the Initiative was a key partner in the communication about the facts of sexual harassment that took place in Tahrir Square.
the Initiative participated in the preparation of the legal demands of the International Federation and submitted to the Egyptian government, also participated in the report issued by the International Federation on the phenomenon of harassment.
