The French Coordination for the European Women's Lobby (C.L.E.F.) was founded in 1991. It is a national coordination that gathers 65 feminist organizations involved in all areas of society, in terms of women's rights. The C.L.E.F. carries the values of secularism, social justice, gender equality and solidarity. It leads the fight for the economic independence of women, gender equality, the fight against violence, women's equality in the field of sport and culture and promotes the rights of migrant women.
The C.L.E.F. works for the recognition and enactment of women's and men's equality so that together they build a responsible and united society. It takes into account both the expertise and the action approaches in all the themes and issues that concern women.
The C.L.E.F. continues to develop its business primarily at European and international levels. They support actions for European and equality rights undertaken by the European Women's Lobby. The C.L.E.F. is part of a movement of solidarity with women around the world, in particular in the Euro Mediterranean and the Francophonie areas. The C.L.E.F. wishes, through its daily commitment, solidarity with their struggles.
Its working topics are health and emotional and sexual life, violence as well as culture, sports and recreation. The C.L.E.F. has over 10 years of specific working experience in gender equality.
