Mission and objectives

The Mauritanian NGO called "Ntic et Citoyennete - Maurifemme" found that the internet can be a tool of developing links between women' s movements, feminists, gender and social movements.

Through the "Maurifemme" website, it aims to: ensure the "gender" dimension of the Mauritanian presence on the net and women in general; awareness Mauritanian women in their uniqueness and diversity between the Arab-Muslim world and the black African world; give visibility to action/ activity of Mauritanian women and also open up and connect women and their organizations in the world.

The virtual forum "Maurifemme", created in April 2004, is a space of exchange and dissemination (participation, health, development, rights, ICT, governance, news, conferences, etc.) without any time constraint or contribution.
