Madam Fatima Sadiqi founded the first center for studies and research on women at the University of Fez, Morocco. Furthermore, she founded the first Gender Studies Program at this University. The Program was the first of its kind in Morocco and the Maghreb and it produced the first Mas and PhDs in the country.
Madam Fatima Sadiqi founded the Isis Center for Women and Development. She organized seven bi-annual international forums on Mediterranean women and she is preparing the 8th edition to be held in May 2018. Each forum addressed a topic that constitutes the news and touches on women's issues nationally, regionally, and internationally. She also organized several follow-up workshops to implement the recommendations of the fora, whose aim is to promote gender equality.
Madam Fatima Sadiqi initiated several partnerships with European and American universities that focus on gender equality. Dozens of students and a few colleagues benefited and are benefiting from these partnerships. In addition, she promoted academic work on Berber women and rural issues and she is striving to draw the attention of academics to Berber women's voices. Her latest single-authored book "Moroccan Feminist Discourses" addresses this issue.
Madam Fatima Sadiqi has more than 10 years of work experience in gender equality in Arabic countries.
