TAMETTUT is a non-profit, non-governmental association. Founded in Barcelona in 2004 by a group of active women, women activists who are sensitized and concerned about the rights and the women’s situation in general and Amazigh women in particular. Their mission is to work for immigrant women to promote their rights and strengthen equality through activities in the social, human rights, legal, and cultural fields. TAMETTUT seeks to raise awareness of the challenges faced by immigrant women in general and Amazigh women in particular.
TAMETTUT hopes that by making women aware of their cultural rights, they can be encouraged to participate socially and contribute to the visibility of their identity, knowledge and presences.
