Mission and objectives

Vision: A cohesive Palestinian society that provides social security and a decent life for all its constituents on the basis of justice, equality and without discrimination. Mission: To provide social protection through its various programs with rights-based approach to ensure transparency and justice to strengthen the resilience of citizens. Objectives: 1) Combating poverty. 2) Providing assistance and services to vulnerable and marginalized groups, including women and girls victims of gender-based violence. 3) Strengthening and expanding the social security system

Main activities related to gender equality and women's rights

Receive female victims of gender-based violence and provide them with protection then refer them to concerned parties. Provide protection, psychological, social and legal counselling, vocational rehabilitation and training for violence female victims. Follow-up on the issues of female victims who need to be referred along with their children to protection centres and provide the necessary services. Empower and reintegrate abused women into society. Prepare detailed and periodic annual and semi-annual reports on the number of abused women, and use them in drawing up plans and developing ad-hoc interventions.
