Mission and objectives

Mission: PWWSD sims for gender equality and the eradication of all forms of discrimination against women, through empowering and mobilizing women’s participation in the struggle, the contribution to the development processes, the promotion of women's political, economic and civic rights and the expansion of women’s access to justice.

Objectives:
-To contribute to the empowerment of women (especially working women) and the enhancement of their participation and involvement in all aspects of life, based on gender equality and women human rights.
-To contribute to the improvement of women’s psychological well-being in the Palestinian community and to combat all forms of violence against women and girls.
-To develop the organization’s capacity and resources to strengthen self-sustainability.

Main activities related to gender equality and women's rights

PWWSD is a Palestinian women’s, mass, developmental, learning human rights organization that contributes to developing the feminist struggle within national, social, and developmental dimensions. PWWSD is a reference for women and all those individuals or institutions interested in women’s issues.
-Highlighting women’s rights and combating violation against women from the angels of accountability, protection, and human security.
-Conducting awareness-raising and education sessions for women about their basic rights.
-Providing legal consultations to women during about Family law issues and panel law issues.
-Organizing women: Part of women political participation, as an outcome of PWWSD mobilization and empowerment activities to widen women’s participation in decision-making processes.
