Jordan
The United Religions Initiative is a non-profit public benefit organization in Jordan. It aims at promoting and enduring daily interfaith cooperation to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and for all living beings. The United Religions Initiative operates through an office in Amman that supports URI MENA’s. The United Religions Initiative conducts the URI Women's Initiative program that is focusing on empowering women economically in Jordan and Morocco for 2014/ 2015.
The United Religions Initiative conducts the Women's Initiative program that is focusing on empowering women economically in Jordan and Morocco for 2014/ 2015. Also, they have many CCs "small groups" focus on women empowerment. Other main activities are:
- Active in AnnaLindh and Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (EURO-MED)/Erasmus + programs.
- Organized/ co-organized 16 Euro-med youth projects (Youth Exchanges and trainings) since 2002.
- Member with Annalindh foundation since 2009 and participated with them in different projects.
- URI MENA is accredited for EVS program as a Receiving and Sending Volunteers Organization within the - European Commission’s Erasmus+ program.
