Mediterraneo Sociale is an innovative experience of network of no-profit and profit agencies, with a remarkable ethic mission, which promotes inclusive and productive activities of social utility.
The active engagement of women and men of Mediterraneo Sociale is to promote and to implement Sustainable Local Communities providing a dynamic, multidisciplinary innovation network at local and global level, to strengthen linkages between social economy, community welfare and ethical finance.
The Sustainable Local Community is a model of participated local governance focused on: respect of gender differences and women empowerment; protection of the environment and biodiversity; services of Community Welfare; promotion of ecologically and ethologically sustainable economic activities.
Mediterraneo Sociale promotes three strategic lines with different kinds of activities: Community welfare, Social economy, Ethical finance.
Mediterraneo Sociale’s strengths:
• the many good practices based on gender difference;
• the experience in specialized training and the long history of promotion of self-entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship (especially female);
• the experience in the field of public subsidiarity in the Third Sector as the most favourable condition to raise the awareness of local governments about innovative policies of Euro-Mediterranean cohesion;
• the long experience in the field of national and international social communication campaigns.
