The Voice of Amazigh Women, also known as “IMSLI" is a national non-governmental non-profit association. It is considered one of the first associations of Amazigh women that defend the rights of women in Morocco and in particular those of Amazigh women who suffer a double discrimination: the sexist one and the one related to identity.
The association aims to promote the situation of Amazigh women in Morocco through the acquisition of their socio-economic, linguistic, cultural, political, and environmental rights based on a human rights-based approach.
The association works according to a flexible and multidisciplinary approach, consisting of:
1. Capacity building: Through workshops and trainings on women’s human rights in all fields.
2. Advocacy: the association advocates for laws and public policies that respect the specificities of the Amazigh women.
3. Communication and Information: The Association seeks to facilitate access to information and to increase the presence of Amazigh women particularly in the media.
4. Networking: The voice of Amazigh women is a partner of many associations and organizations sharing the same convictions at the local, regional and international levels.
