Women & Cinema was born from the common desire of two producers -Stéphanie Douet and Sandrine Pillon- to highlight the status and image of women through the various vectors of the cultural field (cinema, television, internet, visual arts, video and new media).
Its main objectives are: to deconstruct gender stereotypes, to educate the public eye on the identification of sexist content, to raise awareness on gender equality, to support any fight against discrimination and to highlight women artists/technicians and their work.
Our association launched several actions in 2017:
- WOMEN CITIZENS photo contest
- Video contest with high school students on the theme of violence against women
- Video contest with students on gender diversity in sport
