CMC mission is: to employ media to improve the social and human rights situation of marginalized categories of the community with special emphasis on women and Youth by establishing long-term lasting relationship between mass media and citizens from one side, and decision makers on the other side by raising awareness of young journalists on the importance of employing media as a mean to serve and adopt the urgent humanitarian issues and address issues of social change.
The Community Media Center holds itself accountable for its beneficiaries and therefore the center includes youth (women and men) and stakeholders in all aspects of organization's work starting from planning and designing projects, implementation of projects and activities and evaluation and review of undertaken projects. Men and women at CMC share equal rights and duties and most of CMC staff and board members are young leaders who believe in bringing about social change and improving the awareness of human rights as a necessary process toward the change. CMC focuses its work through three programs:
1. Training and capacity development program
2. Lobbying and advocacy program
3. Administration program.
