CEMD will build a reliable platform for new thinking on the issues facing the Euro-Mediterranean contemporary issues by fostering open discussions and debates, organizing result-oriented conferences, conducting research and analysis, and contributing to sound policymaking in the region.
CEMD’s aim is to generate knowledge by conducting in-depth research that leads to a new solution for problems facing the Euro-Mediterranean societies. To share knowledge by organizing, conducting and promoting high-level public debates and conferences, dissecting the region’s most pressing issues affecting its present and future.
Workshops, debates, research, analysis, policy recommendations
Education plays a vital role in challenging the underlying stereotyping and discrimination, which fuels violence against women. Under international law, states must ensure the protection of human rights of all people, without
discrimination. But although progress has been made to address gender inequality, there is still a long way to go to
bring about the eradication of violence against women across the world. Working with the local governments and civil society organizations in the region, CEMD would like to contribute to an ongoing public debate about gender equality that will produce sound policy recommendation. Having a role in the follow up on the implementation of those policy recommendations is also on our agenda.
