Algeria
Touiza is an NGO created in 1993 in Algiers. It works for sustainable and shared development between the two shores of the Mediterranean. Based on a participative and concerted approach on the local populations, Touiza strengthens the bonds of friendship and solidarity.
Our objectives are: to support and strengthen the skills and techniques of the populations of disadvantaged rural regions, particularly young people and women; to support sustainable local development in Algeria by relying on population dynamics and supporting co-development initiatives; participate in the protection and enhancement of natural resources and heritage; and to encourage links between actors for development in the Mediterranean.
-Training and seminars for local associations working for sustainable development, especially women's associations (urban planning and management, development of a territory, environment, water and waste management).
- Environmental education program for children.
- Literacy courses for women and girls.
