Mission and objectives

The Elkhir Women's Association aims at the socio-economic promotion and leadership of women. The association works to improve the socio-economic conditions of women so that they can enjoy their rights and thus contribute to the active life. Objectives: - socio-economic integration of women in difficult situations; - contribution to the elimination of violence against women - promotion of women's leadership.

Main activities related to gender equality and women's rights

Welcoming and listening to women; providing legal counselling for women to increase their knowledge of their rights and available legal procedures (Legal counselling allows women to choose what procedure they wish to initiate.); provision of medical and psychological support; vocational training; personal development workshops; awareness-raising campaigns and days for the fight against violence; participation in events with the partner associations (ALDDF, women's solidarity network, etc.); participation in trainings for capacity-building for advocating and defending women’s rights.
