The "Association du Docteur Fatiha" (ADF) is a French-Moroccan association whose mission is to make the environmental protection a driving force of the local economy in favour of women.
ADF works among women in precarious situations in order to help them build a better future, while preserving their environment.
ADF provides them with new practical knowledge based on recycling and eco-creation so that they can benefit from a regular income and improve their daily life.
By valuing and strengthening their capacities, the project also enables them to increase their confidence in themselves. Moreover, by contributing to their household income, their place within the family is gradually redefined.
ADF has been able to transfer practical knowledge to women to allow them to benefit from activities generating a regular income higher than the local level, while building their professional empowerment.
Among their experiences in terms of international cooperation in the field of promotion of the role of women in society it is worth pointing out the support programme for weaving and basket-making cooperatives in the southern oases.
