Mission and objectives

The Women' s Solidarity Fund was founded in Oxford in order to support women fighting against gender based inequality and provide spaces that allow for women to share their thoughts, concerns and visions for the future.

The organisation strives to make women' s voices heard and to create an open space where women can claim their participation in decision making processes and to be integrated in peace-building and post-conflict reconciliation. They aim to build upon the work of other women' s funds by focusing on enabling women' s grassroots organizations in the Caucasus region. By breaking the wall of patriarchy in an environment where conflicts persist and transcend borders, the Women' s Solidarity Fund believes that women should be an integral part of negotiations and reconciliations.

Women' s Solidarity Fund aims are built upon the following goals: to support survivors of sexual and gender based violence; to support women' s participation in economic and decision making processes and to support women' s integration into peace building negotiations
