“Association Joussour de Citoyenneté” (AJC) is a non-profit organization, which was founded in December 2014 in order to strengthen local development in the governorate of Kef, in the north - west of Tunisia. The AJC aims to create a culture of respectful dialogue on human rights, to fight against any kind of discrimination against women, as well as to encourage young women to become autonomous, to promote environmental and social economic rights and to strengthen girls' and women's rights in a region based on patriarchy.
Being aware of the federative role of the civil society in the activation of public institutions and promoting and supporting socio-economic and cultural activities in the region, the AJC develops partnerships with youth centers, houses of culture, primary schools and the Regional Commission for youth and sports.
The Joussour Association has 2 years of specific working experience in gender equality.
