Hope Village Society (HVS) is an Egyptian non-profit organization founded in Cairo in 1988. The organisation' s role is to care for young street mothers and children in difficult circumstances and those deprived of family care. HVS ensures that all young mothers and children enjoy the right to a childhood in a safe, permanent and caring environment, free from gender discrimination, poverty, violence and exploitation.
The Society' s mission is to provide care and shelter to children until they are able to provide for themselves; rehabilitate, integrate and train the children socially, psychologically, behaviorally and vocationally; conduct scientific research on the street children phenomenon; provide technical help and training for other NGOs through a research and training department; provide small loans for the street mothers, girls and children' s families; and integrate the children back to the community. HVS also has a mission to network and exchange experiences with other associations and organizations both inside and outside of Egypt.
