The journal Al-Raida welcomes MEPI TL gender scholars from the Lebanese American University (LAU), and students and faculty from other universities across Lebanon and the Arab region to submit their reflections on teaching and learning about feminist theory and gender in university settings across the Arab region. The forthcoming issue asks about the realities of teaching and learning about sensitive topics related to gender equality—including sex and sexuality, religion and feminism, and inclusive human rights—amidst ongoing crises such as COVID-19, and what teaching and learning at this current conjuncture can tell us about pedagogical and epistemological frameworks in the region.

Al-Raida also welcomes submissions from MEPI TL Gender Scholars for this issue, which can be submitted under any variety of topics. Upon submission, please indicate that you are a MEPI TL Gender Scholar. Al-Raida accepts both academic and non-academic submissions and encourages interdisciplinary work with a focus on issues related to gender in the Arab region and the diaspora.
