A single moment can spark a revolution, collective actions can transform societies and laws, an invention can alter the course of history, and creative expression can change attitudes.
These are the threads that have been woven over generations to drive the gender equality movement forward. We are living in a pivotal moment in history when a global pandemic, growing inequality and extremism threaten to reverse the gains in women’s rights made after strenuous efforts.
This International Women’s Day, as world leaders and activists prepare for the Generation Equality Forum 2021, a global gathering of investment and innovation for gender equality, we mobilize to drive change.
Join the initiative. Be part of our Generation Equality campaign: Visualize and reflect what the concepts "activism" and "actions for gender equality" mean to you, and share your vision of a future with gender equality.
Your design can take the form of static art, GIFs, animations (up to ten seconds) or short videos (up to one minute), incorporating the key messages of UN Women.
UN Women will select a minimum of 15 and up to a maximum of 20 works, and their authors will be called Selected Creators and will receive $ 500 each. As part of this rising generation, which is also one of the most prepared of all time, the future depends on you. We are the Generation Equality on the move. What are you waiting for? Show that you are on the right side of the story.
