Senior Women in Business is a support programme for the creation of start-ups, set up by "Global Project Partners" (GPP) and the National Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs (CNFCE) in collaboration with TheNextWomenTunisia (TNWT) and Betacube. This "Senior Women in Business" incubation project targets women researchers and scientific entrepreneurs (aged 45 and over) in Tunisia and will run for three months (March 15 to June 15). This incubation programme accompanies the creation of start-ups by women academics, increases the visibility of these women entrepreneurs and connects them to the start-up ecosystem. It was developed following focus groups, personal interviews and questionnaires to which around 100 scientists from all over Tunisia responded.
Age: 45 years or older
Education: researcher, professor or scientist
Start-up: The product/company idea is connected to the scientific field the candidate is working on and aims to solve a business or social problem.
Sector: The programme is open to all sectors.
Innovation & scalability: The project idea should provide a differentiated solution to a specific problem and hold the ability to grow rapidly in the future.
Feasibility: The project should be legally, technically and economically feasible.
Commitment: Participants must be willing to devote the necessary time to the development of their project during the incubation programme (a minimum of 10 hours per week). Please note that each week participants would be asked to complete and deliver the documents required for the development of the start-up.
State of mind: Proactive, motivated women wishing to start a business and leave the comfort zone.
Character: Apply if you are open to new challenges and to learning new things.
The programme is fully digital; participation does not depend on where you live.
