Given the 2019 coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), Mobilising for Rights Associates (MRA) is taking this opportunity to create a new online emergency resource for women victims of violence during this period:

During the current national health emergency and movement restrictions, Moroccan associations are taking up the challenge to continue to support women victims of violence, despite the difficult circumstances. This page, designed for this crisis, contains special contact numbers made available by associations in various regions across Morocco in order to maintain their counseling and other services for women victims of violence.
Given the expected increase in domestic violence as a consequence of home confinement, it is imperative that emergency measures be taken and that women who are victims of violence know where to turn for assistance.
MRA will update this link with new resources. You can send any additional resources and contacts you know of to the following address:
Furthermoe, MRA is currently collaborating with local NGOs working on violence against women in Morocco to conduct action research to monitor and document the State response to sexual violence and intimate partner violence against women. This questionnaire was developed and is made available to associations to serve as a practical tool, providing a framework for reflection with a series of questions to regularly collect data and information from experiences throughout the pandemic.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
